About
Our Story

A premiere yoga and wellness space that serves the individual needs of each person who walks through the door. We offer an empowering yoga practice and variety of strength-based classes geared towards building warrior-like strength - physically, mentally, and spiritually - all through small group classes, one-on-one
private sessions, and workshops.

All are welcome here.

We are courageous. We laugh. We fall - and get up.

Our name, 3 legged dog (3LD), is inspired not only by one of our favorite yoga poses - it is inspired by the strength of a warrior.
3LD celebrates the fighting spirit in all of us.

We believe that together - nothing is impossible.

YOGA FOR THE SOUL

I love exploring movements that feel good on my mat - from deep stretches to playful flows. I offer a yoga practice where students explore authentic, feel-good movements on their mats. I love sharing classes where students are able to deeply listen to the needs of their bodies and playful movement that allows students to appreciate the gift of vinyasa and intuitively flow.

See you on the mat!

YOGA MOMMA

Boy mom - X3! I was born and raised in DeWitt and love raising my family here too. I am 200 YTT and Primal Flow Buti certified. When I'm not chasing kids and doing yoga, I love to hike and explore Michigan's Upper Peninsula. You can also find me shopping the DeWitt Farmer's Market and aisles at Whole Foods when I get a little time to myself - although my favorite pastime is taking naps with my baby.

THE RUNNING YOGINI

17+ year yogi - started with prenatal yoga in hopes of urging my son out quicker... While this was unsuccessful :) -  a love of yoga was born. I am an RYT 200 instructor, lover of long runs, paddle boarding, traveling, snuggles with my black lab, a good Pinot and time with my 2 teenage boys and husband (not necessarily in that order).

Kelli Pagel

REAL-LIFE YOGI

I found yoga at a young age and have kept my practice up since. I am no master yogi but I consider myself a “real life” yogi who cannot get into every pose but am happy finding variations that work for me! Explore your strength and flexibility with me on your mat and become more present in every moment in your life. I am an air traffic controller and understand that sometimes your yoga class is the only time away that you may get in a day! Come flow with me!

BARRE INSTRUCTOR

I am a wife, mother of seven beautiful children and fitness enthusiast. Grew up in South Africa where I performed Ballet. Moved to the States to continue my Ballet journey and as a teen fell in love with field hockey and lacrosse which I played through college. I have found BARRE to be a perfect combination of ballet and fitness. I love working out with people. I have found that the energy we draw from each other and the relationships we build while pursuing our fitness goals to be irreplaceable.

HIIT, PIYO + RYT 200 YOGA TEACHER

I am a fitness aficionado, and have been teaching group fitness classes for over 15 years. Teaching is my creative outlet and stress reliever. Outside of yoga, I'm a mom, PA, professor at MSU, former registered dietitian, and generally involved in way too much! I love that yoga helps remind me to re-center and focus on the present.  I love to travel and read when time permits.

Tiffany Herrmann

YOGAFIT LOVER

I love God, family, children, yoga, dancing, live music, nature, art, reading, and group exercise classes.  I live in DeWitt with my loving husband and two wonderful children where I currently teach first grade, yoga, dance, strength training, step and sculpt, and Sunday school.

Jessica Koenigsknecht

MAMA OF THREE

Yoga helps me find balance in life and better manage stress and tension in my body. I hope to help students improve flexibility, strength, and balance, but ultimately to flow to good music and have FUN on their mats! Off the mat, I love hanging with my husband and three kiddos, quality time with family and friends, traveling, the great outdoors, strong coffee, dark chocolate, assembling charcuterie boards, and sipping on a good glass of red.

Ustina Shives

POWER YOGI

Yoga is a way for me to practice compassion and collect my thoughts. It is a way to connect the mind, body, and spirit in a safe, healing place. Outside of the studio, I love to explore the world by traveling, finding cute coffee shops, and going to a local breweries. I'm a mental health clinician and love to bring yoga/breathing methods to my clients to help regulate stress levels.

Moriah Newman

BREATH OF LIFE YOGI

I grew up in the country and continue to be most happy with a daily dose of outdoors and animals. I've been teaching yoga, teaching horseback riding and practicing massage therapy for just over 20 years. In 2022, I became a level 1 Franklin Method Educator. I have three sparkly children and one goofy husband. I love practicing and sharing yoga! It is so valuable to tune inwards and find that quiet perfect place within us all.

Kim Miller

RYT 500

Yoga is for everyone. The goal of yoga is not to be able to touch your toes or grow your biceps. The goal is to take care of ourselves - body and mind. We move between poses to increase flexibility, maintain ranges of motion and increase stamina. We calm our busy minds by focusing on breathing. It can be fun, it can be challenging, but it is always worth it. Simply, yoga helps me feel better in my body and my mind, and I hope it will help you too!

Jen Cousineau

PRACTICAL YOGI

I am a 500 level yoga instructor. I also have a psychology degree and over 15 years experience as a social worker.  All my classes are trauma informed and resiliency based. I believe that yoga is for everybody.  I am a believer that a great yoga class should be a solid mix of 20% philosophical yogic concept , 60% anatomical understanding of the body and science, and 20% energy/breath. Come to class and learn how to take yoga off the mat and into your life.
